Frequently Asked Questions

Q&A

Payments

We currently are not in-network with any insurance providers at this time, however, we will be accepting BCBS PPO shortly. We do offer a sliding scale for low-income clients. Please contact us for more details.
The immigration evaluation fees are broken down into two payments. The first payment is due at the start of the first session, and the second payment is due when the report is provided to the client. If the second payment is not provided the report will not be released to the client or the lawyer. We do offer pro-bono evaluations, please feel free to contact us to see if you qualify.

How long does individual therapy last?

Everybody is in a different stage in their healing journey, and there is no set time. We strive to meet our clients where they are and accompany them through their journey at their pace. Can I get medication from my therapist?

No. Psychotherapists do not hold a medical degree and therefore are not able to provide you with medication. We can provide referrals if needed.

Can I have an Immigration evaluation without a lawyer?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide immigration evaluations without the client having legal representation at the time of the evaluation. Since these evaluations are of a sensitive nature therefore we want to ensure that all of the information we are providing is in line with the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Can you be my therapist after my evaluation?

No. The American Psychological Association (APA) recommends that the role of the evaluator and the therapist need to be separated as it is seen as a dual relationship.

I need to cancel my appointment, will there be a fee?

Individual Therapies: If you need to cancel your appointment please email your therapist. Do not call or text. Cancellations less than 48 hours will be charged a late cancellation fee of $200.00.

Immigration Evaluations: You will not be scheduled for the first appointment without payment. If you need to reschedule your first or second appointment please email your therapist. Do not call or text. Cancellations less than 48 hours will be charged a late cancellation fee of $400.00.

Can you see me at my place of residence or hospital?

We understand that life happens and it can impact the ability to come to the office. In certain cases, we are able to meet you at your house or medical facility if needed. However, a traveling fee will apply. We also offer telehealth options at no extra cost.

Can I submit my therapy bills to my insurance?

Upon request, we can provide you with a coded visit bill called a SUPER BILL for individual therapy only. You may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your insurance regarding the specifics of your policy.
